The Raider Teams are groups of physically fit cadets that compete in different events at Raider Competitions around the nation. Raider Teams are built on teamwork and cooperation as no one can push an armored vehicle or lift a telephone pole by themselves. The teams are separated into male and female with a master and explorer category for both. Raiders participate in events such as the obstacle course, rope bridge, crucible, and the ruck run.
Obstacle Course: Teams will complete obstacles as quickly as possible and as a team. Some obstacles include climbing ropes, climbing over walls, vaulting over logs, crossing balance beams and many more!
Rope Bridge: The most technical event in a Raider Competition, teams will construct and cross a rope bridge between two telephone poles. Teams will be judged on how quickly and effectively they are able to assemble, cross, and dismantle the bridge.
Crucible: The crucible is made up of a series of challenges that the team must complete. Such challenges include, carrying a telephone pole, pushing an armored vehicle, carrying teammates in a litter, Texas skis, and carrying water jugs.
Ruck Run: Teams will run in a group of 8 cadets with 4 rucksacks (backpacks) weighing 25 lbs each! The team will decide when to rotate who is carrying the rucksack and the best strategy for the run.
