Orienteering is a competitive sport in which cadets must accumulate points by finding their way through rough terrain with the a map and a compass. Teams are made up of 4 cadets and are separated into male and female with a master and explorer category for both.Cadets must be physically fit and be able to work well in teams even under stressful conditions like when a team gets disorientated and lost.
During competitions, each team will be given a map with 90 minutes to find various checkpoints around the area with each checkpoint carrying a different amount of points. Teams with the most points will win the competition.
